Distinguish a lock, suspension and ban

EA’s account restrictions and appeals guide treats these as different states. A lock can protect an account after suspicious activity or failed logins. A suspension is temporary; a ban can be extended or permanent.

Copy the notice’s wording. A login problem alone does not establish a device restriction, and an identifier-related product cannot reverse EA’s account decision.

Check Penalty History on the correct account

1. Open EA Penalty History and use the EA account linked to the affected game account.
2. Read the recorded violation, status and scope.
3. Choose Review and Appeal when those options are offered for the violation.
4. Keep the submission and later status for reference.

Do not pay a product seller merely to access this official process.

If the restriction does not appear

A blank history is not proof that no restriction exists. EA lists several possibilities, including the wrong account, a tool issue or trouble accessing the account.
