How to appeal a Fortnite ban: notice and Sanction ID

What should I check before requesting a Fortnite ban appeal?

Read the sanction type, scope, duration and Sanction ID in Epic’s notice, then use the correct Epic account in My Sanctions & Appeals. Eligible sanctions can receive one appeal. A spoofer purchase cannot reverse an Epic account sanction.

Identify what the sanction actually restricts

Epic’s sanctions and appeals guide distinguishes several types. Do not assume a login, social or matchmaking restriction has the same scope.

Read the notice for the exact scope and period. The type alone does not prove a hardware restriction.

Find the notice and Sanction ID

Epic’s Fortnite ban article explains the notification email, including type, duration, rule and Sanction ID. Check that the Epic account is the one that received the sanction.

For communication bans specifically, Epic’s communication-ban article says details can appear at the next in-game login if no email arrived. Do not assume that statement applies to every sanction type.

Check appeal eligibility in the official portal

1. Open My Sanctions & Appeals with the correct account.
2. Match the sanction and ID with your notice.
3. Check eligibility and the notified appeal deadline.
4. If eligible, submit one factual appeal and retain its reference.

Epic’s sanctions and appeals guide describes one appeal for each eligible sanction and explains timing. Follow your notice rather than inventing a personal deadline. Player Support cannot submit or override an appeal on your behalf.

Keep the Sanction ID and account details out of public chats. Enter them only where needed in Epic’s official process. Do not include passwords or verification codes.

A submitted appeal is not a lifted sanction

Epic’s review can uphold, lift or modify a sanction. A submitted form is not confirmation of restoration.

A Windows PC product does not cancel an Epic decision, return the original account, or establish console or tournament eligibility. If official review resolves the issue, no spoofer purchase is needed for that resolved issue.
