VAN 152 ban duration: is it always four months?

Does VAN 152 guarantee access returns four months after the first error?

No exact end date can be guaranteed from the error alone. Riot lists 152 as a HWID ban that typically lasts four months, but its current page also warns that the list is outdated and codes may display incorrectly. Confirm your restriction and dates with your notice or Riot Support.

A typical period is not your personal end date

Riot’s error-code list describes a typical period. It does not establish the start date or remaining time of your own case. As checked on October 15, 2026, the same page contains a warning about outdated information and incorrectly displayed codes.

Do not calculate a guaranteed release date from the first screenshot. Ask about the actual restriction and deadline if the notice does not make them clear.

Record four details before asking

1. The entire screen message, including VAN or VAL and the number.
2. First occurrence and latest occurrence, with a time zone.
3. Any official notice and its stated dates.
4. What happens now and which official steps you tried.

For example, “first seen at 20:00 JST on October 1” is an observation, not proof that the sanction began at that moment. This is a hypothetical example, not a customer case.

A device restriction and an account sanction are different targets. Waiting for a device-related period does not establish that an account penalty has also ended. Read each notice separately.

If the screen actually shows VAL 5, start with the VAL 5 login-error checks rather than applying the explanation for 152.

A spoofer is not an official early-release decision

A product cannot promise Riot will shorten the period or restore your original account. If you only need to know the deadline, ask Riot before considering a purchase.
